Care Guide

Leather Care

Caring for Your Piece

Your piece is designed to be used and enjoyed for years.

A little care will help maintain its shape and finish.

01

Leather

  • Store your piece in a cool, dry place.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and heat.
  • Keep leather away from excessive moisture.
  • If your bag becomes wet, gently remove excess moisture with a clean soft cloth and allow it to dry naturally.
  • Avoid harsh household cleaners, alcohol and chemical cleaning products.
  • For deeper cleaning or restoration, use a professional experienced with leather goods.
02

Shape

When storing your bag:

  • Do not place heavy items on top of it.
  • Lightly fill the bag with clean tissue or soft material to help maintain its shape.
  • Store it in its dust bag where provided.
03

Handwoven Sisal

For pieces containing sisal:

  • Keep the woven section as dry as possible.
  • Do not soak it in water.
  • Remove light surface dirt gently with a clean, dry or slightly damp cloth.
  • Allow any moisture to dry naturally.

AULI's use of leather and handwoven sisal is part of the Maluti Collection's material language and Kenyan making process.

04

Hardware

Avoid prolonged contact between metal hardware and water, perfumes, lotions or cleaning chemicals.

Wipe hardware gently with a soft dry cloth when needed.
