The story
The story of AULI began with something deeply personal to me: the Maluti Mountains of Lesotho and the Spiral Aloe that grows there.
The Spiral Aloe, or Aloe polyphylla, is Lesotho’s national flower. I was drawn to its natural symmetry, strength and the way it grows with patience and balance. Over time, it became more than inspiration. It became the foundation of how I wanted to design and what I wanted AULI to represent.
My journey with this idea began in 2020, during the Mitreeki Fashion Mentorship Programme. What started as an exploration of the Spiral Aloe slowly developed through years of learning, experimentation and refinement.
